Park Tool Blue - New Rider Maintenance Class
This 2 hrs 45 min class is aimed at new riders to provide you with confidence when carrying out inspections and knowing if there is an issue before you ride your bike. This will help you understand the basics of the bike, it's maintenance requirements and how to assess if a bike is safe to ride.

About the event
Our new riders class lasts 3 hours with demonstrations and lectures from our experienced mechanics. The learning outcomes for this class are aimed to provide you the basic knowledge required to check your bike is safe and understand when servicing is required.
We'll cover the following topics:
- Removal of wheel, inspection and installation.
- Inspection and care of drive train, chain and sprokets.
- Wheel truing
- Braking systems
- Frame and Fork checks
On completion of the class you'll recieve a Park Tool School certificate for a bit of fun to put up in your garage, workshop or shed!
Further Details:
- You can bring your own bike.
- We can supply one for you to learn.
- All tools and other equipment will be provided.
- Accessible classes avaliable (contact before booking).
- Under 12's must be accompanied with adult (only one booking required).
- Class lasts from 2:30-3Hrs depending on questions and number of students in the class.
- Discount for NCT members, ask for discount code with proof of membership before booking.
- Parking located outside the community trust with access behind Newmains Health Centre turn in.
