At Cairney Cycles, based in Newmains, we’re passionate about all things bikes.

Whether you're in need of expert repairs, want to learn how to maintain your own ride, or are looking for a quality refurbished bike, our Cytech Master Technician, Connor, is here to help. Come experience the Cairney Cycles difference, where your bike is in the best hands.

You can find all sorts of new bicycle accessories, parts and refurbished bikes via our online shop.

We're taking some time out in the spring and will be closed April and May 2025 if you'd like to join the waiting list. We'll be back in June for all your cycling needs.

A bike daft day for all. Come down to the NCT, learn about maintenance, repair and riding bikes. For the mechanics we have a classic and custom bike show with a best in show prize. We'll have bike games, trials and BMX taster sessions to learn bike skills and a gentle led ride around Perchy Pond.

A short introductory hour long course for suspension, Connor will show you the basics of suspension understanding key terms of compression, rebound, preload and sag. Showing you how to correctly set-up suspension before your ride as well as a quick overview of how to complete a lower leg service.

This 2 hrs class is aimed at new riders to provide you with confidence when carrying out inspections and knowing if there is an issue before you ride your bike. This will help you understand the basics of the bike, it's maintenance requirements and how to assess if a bike is safe to ride.
